TAI - Teens in AI

Up to $5,000 in awards

A creative challenge where teens explore life in an AI-influenced world through stories, apps, performances, and ideas. The Challenge begins with a virtual Start Day March 15, 2026 and culminates with an in-person session on April 19, 2026. Join the virtual info session on February 22, 2026, 10-11:30am.

4 Components

Across all four components, you explore the life of teens in an AI-influenced world, from how the brain thinks and decides to how AI systems work and shape real-world experiences.

  • MindStory, VibeApp, and StageX are team projects
  • Teams of 3, formed with friends or assigned on Start Day
    • InsightX is a self-paced individual study using short multimedia content and guided prompts
  • ~10–15 hours of individual study
  • ~15-20 hours of team work

Up to $5,000 in Awards

  • Up to 50 TAI-Awards, $100 + certificate each

  • Top 10% on InsightX Quiz performers

  • Top 20% team projects (MindStory, VibeApp, StageX)

  • About 30–40% of participants are expected to earn one or more awards

  • Internship opportunities with partner organizations are in progress
