Quotes for TAI

From Participants

Participants’ quotes for “What interests you about the challenge?”

Everything!

I’m used to competing in challenges that require memorization of facts, but the TAI challenge seems like fun in a very different way. I would also love to meet other people in the Bay Area who are interested in neuroscience and AI like me.

I enjoy writing, meeting people, exchanging ideas, and most recently, I’ve developed a curiosity for AI. The TAI challenge seems to be an opportunity where all these interests of mine can be combined together.

The MindStory is super intriguing to me. I’ve always thought about the intersection of neuroscience, AI, and creative writing as I love studying and writing about all of them separately but never got a chance to combine all my interests!

The ability to be able to solve problems using a creative solution that we can talk about!
I love exploring technology and public speaking and it seems to be a good combination of both!

The programming and storytelling of hackathons and AI in general really makes me happy. I want to participate with my two friends to have fun.
I’m enthusiastic about developing apps and bringing ideas to life through programming and technology. The TAI Challenge is an interesting endeavor for me as this challenge offers an opportunity for technical creativity as well as social collaboration. I would very much like to take up the VibeApp challenge as I am curious to see how quickly we are able to create a working app with the help of AI.

I love learning about Neuro + X and how it affects youth. I am also an advocate for neurodiverse and differently-abled students. I worked with Dr. Radiya to get our Bay Brains SfN Youth program started. I am excited to promote the TAI Challenge!

I want to learn more about AI, since its a new and growing subject that will be very important (even more so than it already is) in the near future, and working with my friends on a project like this seems like a wonderful opportunity

I am interested in learning more about how AI is shaping the world and how that impacts the brain.

I love math and technology and AI is an area of interest for me. I’m excited to learn how to use AI, and in particular vibe coding, to make applications, and bring back some of what I learn to my school.

It interests me because it allows teens to immerse themselves in such a rapidly growing field that exponentially increases in importance.

I’m interested in the TAI Challenge because it explores how AI and the human brain interact in a creative and thoughtful way. I like that it focuses on curiosity and ideas rather than just coding, and that participants can build projects like stories, apps, or concepts that show what life with AI might look like. I’m especially excited about collaborating with other students, learning through reflection and discussion, and creating something original that connects technology with real human experiences.
